Iranian Foreign Minister’s senior advisor for special political affairs, Ali Asghar Khaji heads Iranian delegation at the meeting.

Ali Asghar Khaji, who has travelled to Moscow at the head of a delegation to attend the four-way meeting with deputy foreign ministers of Russia, Syria and Türkiye, held bilateral meetings with the representatives of the three countries on Monday.

The purpose of the talks is to normalize dialogue between Damascus and Ankara, as well as to prepare a future meeting of the foreign ministers of the four countries. The negotiations will be a follow-up to the meeting of Turkish and Syrian defense ministers that took place in December for the first time in 11 years.
