Pashinyan made the comment in an interview with the Public TV of Armenia on Friday, in response to a question on the role Iran can play in resolving the border dispute between Armenia and its neighboring Azerbaijan.
The Armenian prime minister also referred to his country’s relations with Iran, stressing the importance of the development of those ties.
He said that Tehran and Yerevan have signed a memorandum of understanding under which Armenia receives more gas from Iran to produce electricity and transfer it to Iran.
He said that the MoU will be implemented as soon as the third power line is built between the two countries.
Pashinyan paid an official visit to Iran earlier in November at the head of a high-ranking political and economic delegation.
