Amhad Vahidi and Suleyman Soylu in their phone talk, meanwhile, emphasized the need for cooperation in campaign against terrorism, deporting criminals, and fight against narcotics trafficking.

The Iranian interior minister expressed sympathy with his Turkish counterpart about the previous day terrorist explosion in a square of Istanbul city, reiterating, “Iran and Turkey have shared enemies and must cooperate more seriously in campaign against terrorism and the disturbers of both countries’ security.”

Vahidi referred to the recent supports and moves made by the United States, Britain, Saudi Arabia and the Zionist regime for the violators of public security and rioters in Iran, arguing, “In the past, their roadmaps, plots and plans in support of sedition had faced defeat, and in recent events, too, they will definitely face a crushing defeat.”

The head of the IRI National Security Council reiterated, “The Islamic Republic of Iran has always supported a strong and stable Turkey, believing that the might and security of the two countries is not only to the benefit of both, but also to the benefit of the entire region.”

Vahidi also appreciated his Turkish counterpart’s invitation to have a visit of Ankara, and said he will see him there at his earliest convenient opportunity.

Turkey Foreign Minister Suleyman Soylu, too, said in the phone talk that the relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Turkey are both strategic and age-old, adding, “We have always favored evermore strengthening of Ankara-Tehran relations, believing this is to the benefit of the two nations and our two countries.”

He said that there are some people who are after weakening Turkey’s relations with Iran, but they should know that the Turkish and Iranian officials favor strengthening comprehensive bilateral ties, and will never permit the ill-wishers of the two nations to disturb their amicable relations.

“We are sure the Islamic Republic of Iran top officials will wisely and resorting to appropriate initiatives manage the recent events in Iran, which are intrigued by some foreign countries,” added the Turkish interior minister.

Suleyman Soylu added that in the field of border transitions, too, we are witnesses to good and satisfactory bilateral cooperation, and the established camera supervision in border regions, too, will contribute to further strengthening of border security.
