Earlier in the day, Israeli aircraft reportedly dropped explosive devices over the town of Houla in South Lebanon, damaging an excavator and several vehicles in the area. Israeli forces also demolished a building in Kfar Kila following a ground incursion into the town, Al-Mayadeen reported.

These ongoing attacks on Lebanon come amid continued Israeli violations of the ceasefire announced on November 27, 2024, United Nations Security Council Resolution 1701 from 2006, and Lebanon’s sovereignty.

On December 24, Al Mayadeen’s correspondent in southern Lebanon reported that Israeli aircraft targeted the Tebna area in the Saida district, while additional airstrikes struck Wadi Houmine in the Iqlim al-Tuffah region. At least six separate strikes were recorded in Iqlim al-Tuffah alone.

Following the attacks, our correspondent reported continuous flights of Israeli aircraft and drones over areas north of the Litani River, while local sources indicated that hostile drones were also spotted over Nabi Sheet.

Earlier in the day, before the airstrikes, residents and local sources reported intensified Israeli aerial activity across multiple areas of southern Lebanon, with enemy reconnaissance aircraft observed flying at very low altitudes over Houmine al-Tahta and hostile drones seen circling over the Zahrani region.

On December 22, an Israeli airstrike targeted a vehicle in the Saida district, killing three people, including a Lebanese Army soldier.

A day prior, one Lebanese civilian was killed and several others were wounded in two Israeli drone attacks targeting the southern Lebanese town of Yater.

Earlier incidents included Israeli drone strikes on the towns of al-Taybeh and Blida on December 20. According to the latest published UNIFIL figures, “Israel” has carried out more than 7,500 airspace violations and nearly 2,500 land breaches since the ceasefire began.
