Esmaeil Baghaei strongly condemned the Zionist regime’s move to flagrantly violate Somalia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity –through efforts to advance a plot to divide the Islamic country– as a gross violation of the fundamental principles of the United Nations Charter and international law.

Emphasizing Iran’s principled stance on the necessity of preserving the national sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity of the Federal Republic of Somalia, he stated that the Zionist regime’s malicious act was in line with its policy of destabilizing countries in the region and intensifying insecurity in the Red Sea and the Horn of Africa.

The Iranian spokesman further expressed support for the firm positions taken by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the African Union in condemning the Zionist regime’s action, calling on the international community to take decisive measures to neutralize this expansionist and threat-generating move by the occupying regime of Israel.
