A high-ranking delegation headed by the Chinese vice premier Hu Chunhua has visited Iran on Tuesday to discuss issues of mutual interests.

At the summit of Comprehensive Cooperation Program between Iran and China held today in Tehran, Mokhber described the relations between the two countries as historical and said, “Iran and China attach great importance to the bilateral relations”.

“Iran and China have unified positions in confronting the unilateralism of the dominance and there are constructive negotiations between the two countries regarding the various issues,” he added.

Pointing to Iran’s oil and gas reserves and the extensive capacities of the country in various sectors such as transit, Mokhber stated, “Tehran is ready to expand its joint cooperation with Beijing in different areas such as energy, transit and joint production”.

“Given the opening of the Chinese Consulate General in Bandar Abbas, the special economic zones of Qeshm, Chabahar and Arvand can become areas for joint cooperation between Iranian and Chinese companies,” he stressed.

Iran’s first vice-president considered preserving and respecting the territorial integrity of the Islamic Republic as a sensitive and important issue for Iranian officials and nation, stressing that it is necessary for all countries to observe this mutual and infrangible principle.

Vice Premier of China, for his part, said, “Beijing’s will to develop comprehensive strategic relations with Iran is unchangeable. China supports Iran’s national sovereignty, territorial integrity and national integrity as well as fighting against foreign interference. The two countries should support each other in this regard and we also should strengthen our cooperation and coordination in field of fighting against terrorism”.

It is worth to mention that 16 points of understanding between the two countries to implement the 25-year comprehensive cooperation program between Iran and China were finalized at the summit.
