Egypt holds the Israeli regime responsible for violating the United Nations General Assembly resolution for an immediate ceasefire and implementing a humanitarian truce, it said, referring to yesterday’s vote in New York.
The ministry also repeated its call for the Israeli regime “to facilitate procedures for safe, complete and sustainable access” for aid to Gaza, Al Jazeera reported.
Since the war began, fewer than 100 trucks carrying food and medicines – but not much-needed fuel – have been allowed to enter the besieged enclave through the Rafah crossing with Egypt.
On October 7, the Palestinian Resistance group Hamas launched its biggest operation against the Israeli regime in years in a surprise attack, dubbed Operation Al-Aqsa Storm, in response to the occupying regime’s intensified crimes against the Palestinian people.
Tel Aviv has also blocked water, food, and electricity to Gaza, plunging the besieged territory into a humanitarian crisis.
The death toll in Gaza since the start of Israeli aggression has reached over 7,400 with more than 20,500 wounded.
