Amir-Abdollahian made the remarks in a phone conversation with his Syrian counterpart Faisal Mekdad on Friday.
During the phone call, the two Iranian and Syrian top diplomats conferred on the latest developments in Palestine and the Israeli regime’s crimes in the Gaza Strip.
Referring to the country’s diplomatic efforts to end the Israeli regime’s war crimes in Gaza, the Iranian foreign minister stressed that the Resistance forces are fully ready to defend themselves and confront the Israeli enemy in any scenario.
He added that the Israeli regime and the US will be responsible for the consequences of the continuation of crimes in the Gaza Strip.
Mekdad, for his part, stressed the need for the Islamic ummah to unite against the Israeli regime.
He added that  Syria’s principled position in support of Palestine is unchangeable.

In a separate phone conversation on Friday, Amir-Abdollahian discussed the Palestine issue with Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani.
The two foreign ministers emphasized the need to immediately stop the Israeli regime’s war crimes in the Gaza Strip and send continuous humanitarian aid to the besieged enclave.
