In this meeting, the ambassador of Iran stated, “Iran’s foreign policy strategy is to communicate with different ethnic groups and religions in Bosnia, and at the same time, we believe in and respect the territorial integrity of Bosnia.”
Ebrahimi Torkaman, emphasizing the good relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the countries of the European Union and the countries of the Western Balkans, called for the expansion of economic and commercial cooperation between the two countries.
Referring to the problems faced by this country in the path of joining the European Union and the double standards of the West, Zeljka Cvijanovic, a member of the Presidential Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina, said: “You are a big country with great capacities. I believe that we should have good relations with all countries and therefore there are many capacities for the development of relations between the two countries.”
He also stressed improving the level of all-round cooperation between the two countries, especially in the economic field.
In Bosnia and Herzegovina, the presidency is governed by a council consisting of three Muslim, Serb, and Croat members for four years.
