Earlier on Thursday, the ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Lebanon announced on his social media that the Iranian top diplomat will leave Tehran for Beirut on Friday.
According to him, consultations regarding regional developments is on agenda of this trip.
Amir-Abdollahian will also hold important meetings with senior Lebanese officials during this visit.
