Headed a diplomatic delegation, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian left Tehran to Islamabad to meet and talk with Pakistani officials.
The fight against terrorism and bilateral issues will be one of the axes of his negotiations during the trip, local Iranian media said.
The Pakistani ambassador in Tehran accompanied the top Iranain diplomat and held a meeting with him at Tehran Mehrabad Airport.
According to a report by the Iranian foreign ministry’s telegram channel, Amir-Abdullahian on this trip and in the light of neighborly, fraternal and friendly relations between the two countries and the all-out strengthening of cooperation between the two countries in the commercial, industrial, scientific and academic fields, security and energy will consult with the Pakistani authorities.
Holding talks on the all-out confrontation with terrorist groups operating along the shared borders and efforts to promote security, peace and sustainable development of the people on both sides of the border will be among the other topics on the agenda of the Iranian foreign minister on Islamabad’s visit.
