Amir-Abdollahian attended the 15th summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in Banjul, Gambia.
On his way back, he made a stopover at Tunis International Airport, where he met with the Tunisian foreign ministry official, who is in charge of official ceremonies, and Mir-Masoud Hosseinian, the Iranian ambassador to Tunis.
During their conversation, the top Iranian diplomat discussed ways to strengthen relations between the two countries.
He also greeted Iran’s ambassador and other diplomatic staff and was updated on the latest developments in Tunisia and the efforts to enhance relations in various fields.
Amir-Abdollahian held talks with a number of counterparts and officials on the sidelines of the OIC summit before leaving Banjul for Tehran on Sunday morning.
