Khazali made the comments in a meeting with South Africa’s Minister of Social Development Lindiwe Zulu on the sidelines of the 68th annual session of the Commission on the Status of Women in New York.
Referring to the Israeli regime’s genocidal war against the people of Gaza and the constructive act of South Africa in filing a case at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) against the Tel Aviv regime, the Iranian vice president expressed hope that with the practical support of other countries, the Palestinian people will be rescued from the miserable condition.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Khazali stressed the need for Tehran and Pretoria to develop cooperation regarding the issues related to women and family.
Zulu, for her part, said, “On the anniversary of the liberation from apartheid and the establishment of democracy in South Africa, I express my opposition to Israel’s apartheid and I am grateful for the support of the countries that declared their support at the International Court of Justice.”
“Establishing world peace will be in line with the national interests of countries, and we need the will of countries to achieve a world free of violence and war,” she added.
