Director-General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), who has traveled Iran to attend the 1st International Conference on Nuclear Science and Technology and the 30th National Nuclear Conference in Isfahan on Monday, met with Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister, Ali Bagheri Kani.
In this meeting, the two sides discussed and exchanged opinions about various dimensions of cooperation between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency.
While pointing out the importance of cooperation between Iran and the Agency, Bagheri Kani emphasized the necessity of impartiality and professionalism of the IAEI as a specialized organization.
He also stated: The peaceful nuclear activities of the Islamic Republic of Iran are always within the framework of international obligations, including the Non-Proliferation Treaty.
Rafael Grossi, for his part, considered his trip to Tehran as a sign of the agency’s will to maintain a constructive atmosphere in its relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran.
