According to a press release by Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Monday, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan held a telephone conversation on Sunday afternoon, during which they discussed bilateral relations as well as regional and international developments.

During the call, the two sides exchanged views on Iran-Saudi Arabia relations and emphasized the importance of continued dialogue.

Referring to developments in southern Yemen, Iran’s foreign minister stressed the need to preserve the country’s unity and territorial integrity, underlining the importance of implementing the agreed roadmap.

Araghchi also condemned Israeli aggression against Lebanon, emphasizing the responsibility of the international community, particularly the guarantors of the ceasefire, to halt violations and crimes committed against the Lebanese people.

For his part, the Saudi foreign minister highlighted the importance of continued consultation and cooperation among regional countries to safeguard peace and stability, stressing the need to hold the Israeli regime accountable.

Earlier on Sunday, Araghchi held conversations with his counterparts from Qatar and Yemen.
