Zarepour made the remarks on the Iranian-made Bale app in reaction to Google’s move to remove some Iranian applications from Google Play.

Through taking the monopolized and double-standard policies, some prominent platforms worldwide which recognize themselves as the only owner of the area of information technology have been trying for years to prevent Iran from its technological development, the minister underlined adding that this is not the first time they have restricted the Iranian users and deprive them of having access to Iranian-developed products.

He further said political aims are behind making such decisions.

They try to use any tools for showing Iran and Iranians as dependent, he noted.

In contrast to that restriction, the United States had already announced that it has removed IT sanctions from Iran.
