The two sides discussed and exchanged opinions regarding the expansion of bilateral relations in political, economic, scientific, technical, and technological fields.
Earlier on Tuesday, the Iranian top diplomat also attended a meeting with Sri Lankan Foreign Minister Ali Sabry at the venue of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Sri Lanka.
Amir-Abdollahian left for the South Asian country on Monday afternoon in response to an invitation by his Sri Lankan counterpart Ali Sabry.
Discussing the expansion of bilateral ties in political, economic, scientific, and technological fields is on the agenda of this trip.
Before his departure, Amir-Abdollahian wrote on his official X account that he would also review political, economic, scientific, trade, and agricultural relations with Sri Lankan officials.
