The Iranian foreign minister thanked Jordan for successfully holding the Baghdad II Conference and underlined the necessity of expanding cooperation among regional countries in order to strengthen peace, stability and security and to increase economic and trade exchanges.
Amir-Abdollahian then outlined areas in which Iran and Jordan can expand their political and economic relations, declaring Tehran’s readiness to boost political as well as economic and trade ties with Amman.
In the meeting, attended by Jordan’s crown prince, prime minister, foreign minister and some security officials, the Jordanian king said Jordanians hold the Iranian people in high regard. King Abdullah called for opening a new chapter in bilateral ties and regional cooperation between Iran and Jordan.
He added that regional Muslim nations are destined to cooperate with one another in establishing stability and security among themselves.
Meanwhile, Amir-Abdollahian extended Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi’s message to Jordan’s king.
King Abdullah also appreciated Raisi’s warm message.
