He will travel to Iraq at the official invitation of Iraqi Foreign Minister, Fuad Hussein.

The two-day visit will take place in the framework of bilateral relations.

This is Amir-Abdollahian’s first visit to Iraq in this framework.

During the visit, Amir-Abdollahin will meet with Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ Al Sudani, President Abdul Latif Rashid and Parliament Speaker Mohamed al-Halbousi.

He will also hold talks with Iraq’s National Security Advisor Qasim al-Araji and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein.

The officials will discuss bilateral relations and bolstering joint cooperation in line with security and stability in the region.
