Amir-Abdollahian said, “This proposal was made by Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ al-Sudani on the sidelines of the Baghdad Conference 2 in Jordan’s capital Amman”.
“Shia’ al-Sudani emphasized that Iraq can play its role to strengthen regional cooperation,” he added.
The foreign minister said he welcomed the Iraqi prime minister’s idea, adding that actions will be taken by al-Sudani in the upcoming weeks in order to facilitate such talks.
