President Raeisi made the comments on a visit to Fars Province on Thursday morning.
“This is not an effort to achieve victory,” Raeisi said on Thursday, referring to the relentless bombardment of the Gaza Strip by the Israeli military.
“This is a defeat when one chooses to face off women and children,” he said, according to the Press TV report.
The Iranian president said the young Palestinians’ fight to defend their homeland and people is a source of pride for the Islamic Republic and other Muslim nations.
Raeisi also said what is happening against the Palestinian people in the occupied territories and the Gaza Strip is an appalling crime and a blatant example of crime against humanity.
“According to international laws and regulations, those who commit these crimes and support them must be held to account,” he said, pointing to the US support for the occupying regime.
