Ayatollah Khamenei made the remarks in a meeting with the the participants of the 37th International Islamic Unity Conference (IIUC), Iranian officials, and envoys of Islamic states on Tuesday morning.

The meeting is being held on the occasion of the birth anniversary of the Prophet of Islam, Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH).

Stressing that the normalization of relations with the Israeli regime will be detrimental for any state that wishes to do so, the Leader said that the current situation of the Tel Aviv regime does not encourage any party to get close to it.

“They are making a mistake and, as the Europeans say, they are betting on a losing horse,” he told a group of people, government officials, ambassadors of Islamic countries and guests of an international unity conference in Tehran.

Saying that the life of the usurping regime of Israeli will not last long, he cited that the Palestinian movement is more lively and ready today than ever in the past decades.

“God willing, this movement will come to fruition, and as the late honorable Imam [Khomeini] described the usurping regime as a cancer, God willing, this cancer will be eradicated at the hands of the Palestinian people and the resistance forces in the entire region,” he continued.

“The Zionist regime is full of hatred and anger, not only towards us, but also other countries. It is not like the Zionist regime is happy with the countries far and around it. They also hate Egypt, Iraq and Syria.”

“Why? Because their goal was from the Nile to the Euphrates and this did not happen. These countries did not allow it for different reasons,” the Leader said.

“Well, of course, the Qur’an says, ‘Be angry and die of anger.’ That will be the case. They are dying now and by the grace of God ‘Be angry and die of anger’ is being realized in the case of the Zionist regime,” he added.

Elsewhere in his remarks, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution said that Iran does not support and avoids war and military action, stressing the need for being united against the warmongerings of the United States.

Touching upon the issue of Qur’an desecrations in European countries, Ayatollah Khamenei stressed that today, the enmity with Islam is more obvious than ever.
