Ayatollah Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, made important points in his televised speech last night. In this regard, it is important to note a few points from this speech.
1. Regarding the 12-Day War with Israel and US, he said: “In the 12-Day War, the Iranian nation undoubtedly defeated both America and the Zionist regime. They came and committed evil, but they were beaten and returned empty-handed and did not achieve any of their goals.”
The most important goal of the Zionist regime and the United States in attacking Iran was to destroy nuclear facilities, and when the Leader of the Revolution’s emphasis on thd fact that they did not achieve their goals, confirms the failure of the United States and Israel to achieve this goal. In his speech last month, in response to Trump’s nonsense remarks at the Zionist regime’s Knesset about destroying Iran’s nuclear power, the leader said in a short and meaningful sentence: “Keep dreaming.” These two recent positions of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution indicate the enemy’s failure to destroy Iran’s nuclear power.
2. In this speech, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution referred to the great losses of the United States in the 12-Day War and added: “America suffered great losses in this war because despite using the latest advanced offensive and defensive weapons, it was unable to achieve its goal of deceiving the nation and bringing them along with it. Rather, the unity of the nation increased.” The reality of the scene also showed that in the military field, after Iran attacked the Al Udeid Air Base, the United States not only did not respond to the Iranian attack but also immediately requested a ceasefire. Subsequently, the idea that the United States should move its military bases from the Persian Gulf to more distant places such as Diego Garcia Island to ensure the security of its military bases was also raised among the American military elites. At this point, the awe of the United States and its military bases collapsed, and an irreparable blow was dealt to Trump’s reputation.
In addition, the devastating missile strikes by Iran, especially from the seventh day onwards, literally terrified the Israel regime and forced them to turn to the United States for their salvation. This regime also suffered between 20 and 21 billion dollars in damages in the 12-day war with Iran.
3. In another part of this speech, Ayatollah Khamenei, referring to the inconclusive war in Ukraine, which is an example of US interference, added: “The current US president, who said he would resolve this war in three days, is now, after about a year, imposing the 28-point plan on a country that they have dragged into the war.” The reality is that the US, as the main instigator of Zelensky’s continued war with Russia, not only did not support Ukraine, but by imposing the 28-point plan on this country, it showed that it was trying to secure Russia’s opinion rather than supporting the policies of NATO and European countries. In fact, Trump first entered into negotiations with Moscow and, after receiving the opinions of the Russian side, presented his plan. According to this plan, the important Donbass region and the Crimean Peninsula will be completely annexed to Russian territory, and NATO’s acceptance of this plan will mark the second major defeat of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization after the occupation of Afghanistan.
4. The Leader of the Islamic Revolution’s reference to the US efforts to “incite war in the world over oil and underground resources, which has now reached Latin America” cast doubt on the US claim that it is present around Venezuela to fight drugs, since the Trump administration’s pressure on Venezuela is essentially to gain access to the world’s largest oil reserves.
Reports from the United Nations and the US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) also emphasize that Venezuela is not a cocaine producer at all. According to the annual report of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), of the approximately 3,700 tons of cocaine produced in the world, more than 2,500 tons are produced in Colombia, and Venezuela does not even appear on cocaine production maps. The DEA report in March also showed that 84 percent of the cocaine seized in the US comes directly from Colombia.
5. Ayatollah Khamenei, while denying rumors that the Iranian government sent a message to the United States through a third country, considered it a complete lie and said: “Such a government (America) is definitely not a government that the Islamic Republic seeks cooperation and relations with.” This statement by the Leader can be a chapter in the speech for those who, through their pen and speech, invite the Iran’s officials to negotiate directly with the United States. The experience of negotiating with the United States several times shows that this country, both during the Republican and Democratic eras, has a hegemonic approach to negotiations and, due to its reliance on military, economic and security power, only thinks about its own interest. It is obvious that in implementing the Leader of the Islamic Revolution’s directive, creating and maintaining consensus in all elements of the country and political tastes in not cooperating with the United States, can lead to continued national cohesion and strengthening self-confidence to stand against the enemy.
