The top Iranian diplomat met and held talks with Mali’s foreign minister, Abdoulaye Diop at the sidelines of the OIC summit in Gambia.
Hossein Amir-Abdollahian also met with the Foreign Ministers of Egypt, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Bangladesh, and Sudan, and the Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
Regarding the details of his trip to the Gambia and participation in the OIC summit, the Iranian Foreign Minister said that regional efforts to stop the war and genocide in Gaza have become more serious.
The 15th summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) started on Saturday in the Gambian capital Banjul.
The summit took place with the central theme “Enhancing unity and solidarity through dialogue for sustainable development,” and addressed global issues, notably the current situation in Palestine and the ongoing Israeli war in the Gaza Strip, which has killed over 34,000 people, according to Anadolu Agency.
