The members of this delegation met with a group of UN experts, including Javaid Rehman, Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ben Saul, Special Rapporteur on Human Rights and Counter-terrorism and members of the Working Group against Enforced and Involuntary Disappearances, discussing the rights of victims of terrorism and the role of terrorist groups in violating their human rights.
In addition to holding bilateral meetings with participating delegations in the UN event, the Iranian delegation has registered five written statements in the secretariat of the Human Rights Council and read out several statements in the main assembly of the session.
The 55th session of the Human Rights Council is being held from 26 February to 5 April 2024 in Geneva, Switzerland.
