In this meeting, Ayatollah Ebrahim Raisi stated that relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and China have been expanding since the beginning of the victory of the Islamic Revolution, and said, “Some positions raised during the recent visit of the President of China to the region have caused dissatisfaction and complaints of the nation and the government, and Iran seriously demands compensation for these positions”.
Ayatollah Raisi described the presence of the Chinese delegation in Iran as important for the development of economic and commercial cooperation between the two countries and, referring to the important agreements made in the previous meetings of the Presidents of the two countries, emphasised the efforts of the officials of both sides to implement them.
Hu Chunhua, the Deputy Prime Minister of China, also conveyed the warm greetings of Chinese President Xi Jinping to the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and emphasised China’s will to develop relations with a strong Iran as a permanent strategy of the country and the unchangeability of this will, and said, “China’s determination to strengthen and deepen relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran will continue regardless of regional and international developments”.
The Deputy Prime Minister of China stated, “China has always respected the national sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Islamic Republic of Iran and supports Iran’s efforts to secure its basic interests”.
The Deputy Prime Minister of China also reported the results of his meetings with Iranian officials to the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Based on this, with the beginning of the joint investment operation of tens of billions of dollars and the development of economic, industrial, energy, transit, financial and banking cooperation, the parties are taking a big step towards the implementation of strategic and development cooperation in the relations between the two countries.
