The surface and air units of the Iran Navy and the vessels units of China and Russia will participate in the annual 2024 Marine Security Belt naval war game. Representatives from Oman, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, and South Africa will also be present in this year’s war game.
The drill’s purpose is to consolidate security and its foundations in the region and expand multilateral cooperation among the participating countries to show their ability to jointly support world peace, and maritime security and create a maritime society jointly in the future.
The other goals also include strengthening the security of international maritime trade, combating piracy and maritime terrorism, humanitarian measures, exchange of information in the field of maritime rescue, and exchange of operational and tactical experiences.
