Mohammad Boroujerdi met with the minister of Law and Human Rights of Indonesia on Thursday, to discuss the development of judicial relations between the two countries.
During the meeting, the necessity of transferring Iranian prisoners to prisons near the capital and signing the agreement on the transfer of convicts to Iran was emphasized.
The Indonesian side made a promise regarding the transfer of prisoners who are in adverse physical conditions to prisons close to the capital that benefit from medical facilities.
Mohammad Boroujerdi also met with the Head of the National Narcotics Agency of Indonesia, to discuss expanding relations between Tehran and Jakarta in the field of combating drugs.
The Indonesian side, for his part, emphasized further strengthening the cooperation between the two countries to eradicate drug trafficking while welcoming the development of relations with Iran in the field of combating drug trafficking.
