Hossein Amir-Abdollahian met with the visiting Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia Armen Grigoryan in the foreign ministry’s compound in Tehran on Monday afternoon.
The two sides discussed bilateral relations and developments in the south Caucasus region.
The top Armenian security official arrived in Tehran yesterday. He held a meeting with his Iranian counterpart.
In the meeting, General Ali-Akbar Ahmadian, the secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) stressed the need for efforts on the part of all parties to establish peace and security in the Caucasus region, warning that “Any changes in the geopolitics of the region causes insecurity and instability and escalates the crisis.”
