In a statement on Friday, the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran, Nasser Kan’ani reacted to an explosion in a gathering to celebrate an Eid-i-Miladun Nabi in one of the cities of Baluchistan province of Pakistan and strongly condemned the terrorist act.
He expressed condolences to the government and people of Pakistan, especially the survivors of the terrorist attack and wished the injured good health and speedy recovery.
The spokesman considered the terrorist act carried out against the gathering to celebrate the holy prophet Muhammad’s birth anniversary as clearly showing the terrorists’ distance from the merciful teachings of the Prophet of Islam.
At least 52 people were killed — including a police officer — and around 50 were injured in what officials believe was a suicide blast near a Rabiul Awwal procession in Balochistan’s Mastung district on Friday.
