“Since the beginning of this year, the exports of goods from the Mehran border crossing have been more than one million tons, showing a growth of 12% as compared to the last year,” Rouhollah Gholami said on Sunday.

He noted that the Mehran border crossing is still the number among the other 12 border crossings on Iran’s shared border with Iraq.

Stating that the exports of goods play a very constructive role in the country’s economic growth, the Ilam customs administration added, “The major exported goods through Mehran border crossing are various construction materials, including bricks, plaster, pipes, iron tools, and different goods and products.”
