Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Consular Affairs Alireza Bikdeli held a meeting with Khalifa Shaheen Almarar, Minister of State within the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed and exchanged opinions about strengthening the consular cooperation.
The Islamic Republic of Iran prioritizes the comprehensive expansion of mutual relations with its neighbors within the framework of the neighborhood policy, Bikdeli said.
The Emirati official, for his part, said that the UAE is determined to strengthen relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran and welcomes the expansion of consular cooperation.
The senior Iranian diplomat also met with Abdullah bin Sultan bin Awad Al Nuaimi, the Minister of Justice of the UAE.
In the meeting, they conferred on legal and judicial issues and welcomed the expansion of relations between Iran and the United Arab Emirates in all fields.
