“Baghdad is cooperating with diplomatic missions to protect embassies, and missile strikes in the Khazra region are putting the government in a tight spot,” Fouad Hussein told the Saudi Al-Arabiya network, according to the DayliNews. Iraqi forces have arrested some people who carried out attacks in the Khazra region and are now trying to stop the attacks.

The Iraqi foreign minister also said that Baghdad had asked Iran to help stop the attacks in the Khazra region.

Fouad Hussein said: “Tensions between Iran and the United States have a negative impact on the situation in Iraq.”

Emphasizing that his country opposes foreign interference, he said that relations between Iraq and Saudi Arabia have expanded in many areas.

Fouad Hussein also stressed that Baghdad wants to work with the Biden government.
