Nasser Kan’ani strongly condemned the Zionist regime airstrikes on areas in Syria’s Aleppo province last night which resulted in the martyrdom of some Syrian military forces and civilians.
Expressing condolences to the government and people of Syria, especially the families of the martyrs and victims of the airstrikes, he emphasized that these attacks are a clear violation of international laws and regulations, as well as a violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Syria and a serious threat to regional and international peace and security.
He noted that the international community and the United Nations Security Council must take deterrent measures and hold the aggressor Zionist regime accountable.
These attacks are coordinated with the attacks of the terrorist groups in Syria against the regions of this country which is clear proof of the support of the terrorist regime of Israel to the terrorist groups in Syria which have targeted the national security of the Arab country and the security of the region for many years, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson stated.
Referring to the defeat of the occupying Zionist regime in the Gaza Strip, Kan’ani said that aggressive attacks on Syria are a desperate attempt to continue and expand the crisis in the region to restore the failed image of this regime in front of the Palestinian nation and Resistance groups, adding that confronting this dangerous actions that violate the security and stability of the region is an international and global responsibility.
