Hezbollah Secretary General Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah delivered a speech on Tuesday to commemorate the prisoners and wounded fighters of the Islamic Resistance.
He addressed the Party’s ceremony held, at Shahed School campus in Beirut’s Dahiyeh on Tuesday in order to mark the anniversary of the Birth of Imam Hussein (A.S.), Imam Sajjad (A.S.) and Abu Fadl Al-Abbas on Shaaban 4 and 5 and honor the prisoners and wounded fighters of the Islamic Resistance, the Hezbollah’s Al-Manar TV website reported.
At the start of his speech, Nasrallah felicitated Hezbollah’s wounded fighters and their families on their day.
“It is our responsibility to preserve the achievements made by the sacrifices of the prisoners and the wounded,” he said, adding that “we condolences and felicitations to the families of Hezbollah, Amal Movement and civilian martyrs.”
“Hezbollah border offensive originated from the religious and moral duty and responsibility of supporting Gaza against the Zionist aggression,” the Hezbollah leader later said, adding that “Hezbollah border offensive is also a national duty to protect Lebanon from the Israeli aggression.”
“Lebanon’s interest is secured by debilitating the Zionist power,” he continued.
“Some Lebanese parties have prejudices and accordingly reject the logic of resistance without any plausible argument,” Nasrallah noted, adding that “Disputes among the Lebanese pertaining the resistance issue have been ongoing since 1948 and must not be given a sectarian aspect.”
The Lebanese southerners are bearing the main burden of the border confrontation with the Zionist enemy Nasrallah leader further said, adding that “Most of the Resistance martyrs in this battle descend from the border towns.”
“Hezbollah border offensive has maintained the deterrence formula ruling the battle with the Israeli enemy,” the movement’s leader said.
“Foreign delegations visit Lebanon just for the sake of protecting Israel’s security,,” he continued, adding that “Foreign delegations fruitlessly intimidated Lebanon and conveyed Israeli threats.”
“Hezbollah will not stop the border offensive before the end of the Zionist war on Gaza,” underscored Nasrallah.
“It is easier to move Litani River forward to the borders than pushing Hezbollah fighters from the borders to the Litani River,” he further pointed out.
“If the Israeli enemy continues its aggression on South Lebanon after Gaza ceasefire, Hezbollah will continue its border offensive,” the Hezbollah secretary general added.
“‘Israel’ must prepare shelters for two million settlers who will be displaced from the North in case of an all-out war on Lebanon,” said Nasrallah.
