He made the comments in a ceremony of singing cooperation documents sitting alongside President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon in Dushanbe, where he arrived on Wednesday for the ECO meeting.
Stating that there is no barrier to the development of relations between Iran and Tajikistan, the Iranian President stressed that, despite being under sanctions, the Islamic Republic of Iran has much potential in various fields.
“Iran has good potential in the fields of energy, agriculture, industry, and mines, and we are ready to share our experiences with the people of Tajikistan,” he said adding that, “With many cultural similarities with Tajikistan, we can have very good cooperation; It was decided to take steps to develop the Persian language by activating the cultural sectors of the two countries.”
“We must preserve our common cultural assets against the Western cultural invasion; Our shared cultural commonalities is a great asset for both Iran and Tajikistan,” he added.
“Palestine today is the top issue of the Islamic world and the humanity,” Raeisi said elsewhere.
High-ranking officials of Iran and Tajikistan signed 18 cooperation documents and memorandums in the presence of the two presidents.
