Hamas issued a statement on Thursday, expressing sincere condolences to the people of Iran, the families of the victims as well as Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.

At least 15 people, among them two children, lost their lives when a gunman opened fire at pilgrims at Shah Cheragh holy shrine in Shiraz, the capital of Fars Province.

The Daesh terrorist group has claimed responsibility for the attack.

The carnage drew a chorus of international condemnation, with different groups and countries expressing sympathy with Iran.
