Seyyed Abbas Mousavi made the remarks in a meeting with the head of the joint chamber of commerce Iran and the Republic of Azerbaijan in Ardabil, in the north of Iran.

In the meeting, the Iranian ambassador voiced his happiness with the new trend of relations between Tehran and Baku.

He added that despite some unwelcome tensions in the past, the relations between the two countries have been developing in recent months so that “during this period, we saw an increase in the volume of trade and transit between the two countries.”

“Soon, several joint transportation and energy projects will be put into operation in the presence of the high-ranking officials of the two countries,” the ambassador added.
