During the meeting, both sides discussed topics of common interest in the bilateral, regional and international areas.

Hossein Amir-Abdollahian stressed that the Islamic Republic of Iran is committed to support Pakistan throughout the difficult situation, as expressing his regret and sympathy over the recent flooding in the country.

The Iranian Foreign Minister considered Economic Cooperation Organization as a proper platform to expand regional cooperation, while calling for the expansion of the cooperation particularly in the field of transit and road route under international conventions.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, in his turn, said, “The cooperation between us are in favor of the interest of both nations and the region of Southern Asia,” as referring to the deep ties between Iran and Pakistan.

The ministers reviewed the latest development of Afghanistan, while highlighting the importance of establishing an inclusive government in the country.
