He went on to say, “Iran and Iraq nations share many common interests, and we are one nation in two independent geographies. Iran constantly respects Iraqi sovereign and supports its peace and stability. We believe that Iraq never intends to use its soil for terrorist attacks against Iran. In fact, Iraq is decisive not be a threat against the Islamic Republic of Iran”.

The Iranian Foreign Minister noted, “Claims made by the US about the nuclear document are in contrast and we are ready to announce an alternative if it fails,” while referring to American’s allegations.

Amir-Abdollahian also stated that Tehran was making its attempts to strengthen foreign ties with Saudi Arabia and Egypt and welcomed Iraq’s roles to continue and reinforce regional talks.

“Power, peace and stability of Iraq are the part of Iran’s security,” he emphasized.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Amir-Abdollahian called for acceleration in finalizing the case of the assassination of martyr General Qassem Soleimani, as saying that the criminals should be put on trial due to this inhumane assassination.

He also regarded the activities of certain separatist and terrorist groups in North of Iraq as “unacceptable” while appreciating Iraqi attempts to solve these issues.

The Iraqi Foreign Minister, for his turn, put emphasis on Iraq’s will to finalize the criminals involved with the assassination of martyrs Qassem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis.

“Iraqi government never allows its soil to be used as a threat against neighboring countries,” he added.
