Mohamed Uvais Mohamed Ali Sabry and Amirabdollahian talked on the phone on Friday.
During the phone conversation, both sides exchanged opinions on the latest developments related to the terrorist attack in Shiraz and the relations between the two countries.
While thanking the Sri Lankan side for his sympathizing and extending condolence message, Amirabdollahian reiterated that the government and people of Sri Lanka have had the bitter experience of terrorist operations in their country and are well aware of the heavy effects of such a crime and the human suffering of the Iranian people, especially the families of the victims of these terrorist crimes.
The terrorist attack in Shiraz, Fars Province in Southern Iran left 15 people dead, including two children, as a gunman opened fire at pilgrims gathering in Shah Cheragh holy shrine.
The Daesh terrorist group has claimed responsibility for the terrorist attack.
