Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, in an interview with the Israeli Channel 12 TV, emphasized that the Israeli regime’s move to recognize Somaliland has angered Riyadh.
In addition, the process of normalizing tie between Riyadh and Tel Aviv has become more difficult, he said, adding that recognition of Somaliland has distanced the path to normalization of tie and further isolated the Zionist regime in the region.
He stated that Netanyahu’s desire for a second term as prime minister is escalating regional tensions.
He [Netanyahu] is creating tension within Israel and throughout the region, bin Salman added.
Targeting the national security of Egypt, which has maritime borders in the Red Sea and near Bab al-Mandab Strait with Saudi Arabia, and standing up to all Arab and Islamic countries that do not recognize Somaliland, including countries that have signed the agreement to normalize relations, such as the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Bahrain, Morocco, and Sudan, is considered as a clear threat.
