Sharif University also ranks 84 among 750 universities in Asia that were evaluated based on QS Asia University Rankings.

This year marked the first time that Iranian universities took part in the ranking conducted annually by UK-based company Quacquarelli Symonds that specializes in the analysis of higher education institutions across the globe.

In total, a dozen Iranian universities took part in the ranking.

The University of Tehran ranked 92 among Asian universities, meaning that the university along with Sharif are among the top 100 universities in Asia.

The ranking is conducted based on a wide range of criteria that are divided into four sections, including education and research.
